.... cricket last night, it dawned on me again how wonderful the game of cricket is. The sky was very "Constable" the conditions balmy, and the only thing you could really hear were birds, the sound of the bat hitting the ball followed by polite applause for either the bowler, fielder or batsman. Cricket is about manners, it's about respect for authority and when Johnny was given out for an edge when it clearly hit his leg, I was reminded of a conversation between two pundits talking about the umpires and whether a particular player, who had been given out, was actually out. Mr Boycott removed any doubt, he said, "he [the batsman] was out, because the umpire said he was." .... end of really, perfect.
