Jen and I had a great bank holiday weekend. The highlight being a trip to Sutton Park with Danielle and Russell to pick some mushrooms. We found mostly Bay Boletus with a couple of lucky Ceps along the way. It was hard work as each find was only increased our yield singularly.

After a well deserved pint we went back to Dan and Russell's and cooked up the shrooms, with a bit of garlic, butter, parsley and plenty of seasoning. Beautiful

On Saturday Danielle and Russel came round. we ate flat-bread, a fantastic rice salad that Jen makes (made with wild rice, basmati rice, quinone, roasted sweet potato, feta cheese, garlic, fresh mint, fresh sage, fresh oregano.), Lamb fillet marinated in crushed cumin, coriander seeds and garlic. Danielle made baklava which was fantastic. It was all lush.
On Sunday Jen and I went for a walk up the Lickeys and then chilled out.
I was fine the next day for Kat & Mark's wedding, which was a beautiful affair that started at St Peters in Harborne and finished at Marks parents house down the road. The ham was amazing.

Tomorrow evening we're out for Joe's birthday.
Sunday will be a chill out day.
Thanks Ben and Lottie for a great weekend.
Didn't manage to cut the hedges, instead we tidied up the veg patch and watched the Open.
I managed to beat Jen at badminton on Sunday. It's now level at 1 match each.
Tomorrow is hedge cutting day - can't wait!
Sunday, a BBQ if the weather is good - if not a pub lunch with friends.
Saturday we played badminton. I under estimated Jens ability and she thrashed me, even with her slippy shoes. As we were leaving we noticed a table tennis table so we booked a session for Thursday.
Cut the grass at the bottom of the garden and disturbed a bees nest, so we won't be going down there for a while.
Well done to Spain!
This weekend I will be cutting the grass and maybe trimming the hedges.
That was the order of my evening.
Al has kindly offered to teach me the basics of php. After an hour of intense php training my brain was frazzled , the only cure was a trip down the pub. Gavin came with us to the pub. With two pints in our belly we consulted the magic eight ball iPhone application, which told us we must go for a curry. So we did.
Well I am. Jen and I are off to St Ives in Cornwall for a week. We leave tomorrow and I can't wait. BBQ's on the beach, Skinners ale, walks and fine company here we come
Saturday - great walk in Clent, great pub lunch, productive shop, and a pleasant drink with friends.
Sunday - An unsuccessful attempt at getting Sky Mail synced with Windows Live Mail, lovely chinese meal.
Members of the public, gallery staff, me, everyone thought the exhibition was a success. Well done Jen I'm proud of you. xx
Poker tonight at Lee's with Al and Ian. Then tomorrow It's the opening of an Exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery that Jen has organised. I said I would be around to help her as it's a big event.
It wasn't until the afternoon that I went to use my ipod touch and realised water had got into my coat pocket causing the ipod to break - I was angry all over again.
I hope the idiot in the white car flooded his engine, then at least there would be some justice in the world.
Friday night was excellent, It was really good to catch up with the Roadways and meet my sisters new fella'.
Saturday was also excellent. To celebrate Jen's moms birthday we visited Packwood House to see an outdoor performance of "The Tempest". The picnic and weather were perfect.
Going to Steve's 60th birthday celebrations tonight. Tomorrow we're going to Packwood House for a picnic and a Shakespearian play in the grounds to celebrate Jen's moms birthday.
Friday night I had a couple of pints and a gourmet burger with my old mate Mark.
Saturday I did some house work then picked up some bacon, sausages and a pork chop from my favourite butchers in Harborne. In the afternoon I met Al for a bit of php tuition. After we went for a curry and then went on to The Anchor for their May Beer Festival (Highlight Ale was Beowulf - Rave'n)
Sunday I mowed the lawn went food shopping. In the afternoon I cooked myself a bacon sarnie and watched the England game. Jen arrived home, we chilled watching the TV the rest of the evening - Oh yeah and I cooked my chop and had it with gravy and mashed potatoes.
Monday evening Jen I popped back to the Anchor for some more festival action and finished the evening with a balti from the Ladypool road.
Checked my Friday lottery ticket this morning and to my amazement got four matching numbers which bagged me £72!
I felt sorry for some of the bigger animals in cages but all in all it was a lovely day (the weather helped)
In the evening we cooked Sea Bass on the BBQ and sat in the garden - beautiful.
My weekend will be spent in the Sunshine.
On Saturday fiends of ours, who were visiting from London took us out for a meal to celebrate our engagement. We went to Clent - had a walk and then went to The Fountain for some wonderful food, It was truly a beautiful afternoon. A big thank you to Ben & Lottie
In the evening our friends Jo & Chris provided some great food and entertainment. Chris prepared some amazing tapas whilst Jo kept everyone's glasses topped up. We finished off the evening with a game of Rapidough. A fantastic evening - a big thank you to Jo & Chris.
Our Sunday was just a day of relaxing
On the evening we have been invited by our lovely friends Jo & Chris for food at theirs. There will be much fun and games.
Saturday we had a quick tidy then went food shopping. In the afternoon we chilled out and on the evening cooked a Thai Yellow Curry which we washed down with a couple of bottles of Skinners Cornish Knocker. For afters we played monopoly.
On Sunday we did a bit of gardening and in the afternoon went for a pint of mild at the Welly. The evening consisted of bangers and mash, and then a veg out in front of the telly.
I'd planned this day for quite a while - in my pocket was the ring - I had permission from her folks, all that was left was for me to ask the question.
She said yes!
Whatever you do have a great time.
Hello everyone. It's my first day back after a fairly long period of time at home recovering from a major operation. It's so good to be back, I'd gone as far as I could at home - the boredom was getting me down. I think being at work will complete the recovery process.
Thanks to all the guys and girls at clevercherry for covering for me whilst I was away and for for their support. Much love x
Thanks to the clevercherry.com team for their support over the last month and for their continued support whilst I'm away. We're busy enough as it is so I don't know how they'll cope without their best designer (only joking Mark!, and you're pretty good too Gavin!).
On Friday night we had a lovely evening with Jen's folks, eating fish & chips and playing cards. The boys managed to win the game in 4 hands - ( I must admit we did get a few lucky hand dealt to us)
On the Saturday, whilst Jen was at work I popped into the city to do a bit of shopping ( I was early enough to find the city centre not that busy) and had a pint in my favourite pub. On the evening Jen and I had a fabulous evening with Ian and Sarah, beautiful food and wine was tasted. At the end I was having to "table clench" - No more food would fit into my belly.
Yesterday we spent the afternoon at my parents. First off, we all went for a refreshing walk around the Arboretum. Mom cooked a fantastic Sunday roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, best I'd had in ages. We then played cards until I couldn't keep my eyes open and we drove home. I was in bed a sleep by 21:30 and woke this morning fresh as a daisy.
- Tonight it's fish & chips with the in laws, and maybe a game of cards.
- Tomorrow Jen and I are having dinner with Ian and Sarah.
- Sunday, mom's cooking us a Sunday roast
Sounds like a perfect weekend to me.

After 9 years in the bowl, Jen's fish finally said goodbye to this world and departed for fish heaven. Goodbye Fish.
Sunday we had dinner at Jen's folks. On the menu was Chicken Basque which was a taste sensation. Thanks Myra.
We're making a vat of curry this weekend and maybe popping round to Jen's folks on Sunday for a feed. Kevin and Myra, if this is news to you I can only apologise.
I was setting myself up for a bit of one handed air guitar, when to my disappointment the solo vanished. All I was getting was the rhythm guitar. I then realised that my right speaker was "Knackered" and I was only getting the left channel.
Thanks to Kevin for a great pie and chips yesterday.
I don't do it. Jen my partner sometimes does it, but never as bad as this guy. He's hilarious
- Watched Godfather I & 2
- Ate pizza express pizza
- Reported a house fire
- Drank my 300th different ale
- Set up our electricity monitor
- Walked from home to town along the canal
- Went to the IKON gallery
- Visited the bank manager
No plans for the rest of the weekend, which is nice for a change.
After we ate at the newly refurbished restaurant. We've always been impressed with the tapas served at the Ikon and last night was no exception. Some new dishes and old ones re-vamped where enjoyed.
On Sunday I cooked shepherds pie and Jen cooked a fruit loaf and eve's pudding, it was all scrummy
Curry and a pint tonight.
Have a good weekend.
Yesterday Lee, Al and myself attended Cow Club at The Red Lion, It was unusually disappointing. My t-bone steak was poor quality as was Lee's rib eye. Alex was pleased with his Sirloin although he did originally want a rib-eye but they had run out. In the past the steaks and other food at the Red Lion has been fantastic, so It hasn't but me off eating there again. I probably won't have a t-bone again.
This weekend I'm getting my eyes tested and chilling out.
Our home is back to normal now that the Christmas decorations have been taken down. It does look a slightly minimal affair, having been use to the colourful delights of the decorations and cards. We did leave something to take down today, apparently it's unlucky if you dont take something down on the 12th day.
Good bye Christmas hello snow - can't wait for spring now.

My weekend was lovely, full of Christmas festivities.
Saturday we ate merrily with our friends Joe & Chis. There was Christmas song, good food, great ale and snow.
Sunday I even managed to finish my Christmas shopping, whoop! whoop!
Sunday was my mom's birthday. We went for a walk in Clent and then for food at The Fountain. The food was beautiful and mom really enjoyed her evening out, it was great.
When we returned home we decorated the tree and listened to Christmas carols, twas nice.
So I figured I would bight the bullet and just go to my opticians and ask for a repeat of my last order. "No, sorry sir we can't do that, you will have to have another eye test which will cost you £30.
The glasses I lost were perfect. I don't need another prescription.
I snuck a Chicken Fillet Burger on my way home from work last night. I was ravenous and couldn't hemp myself. I was adamant it wouldn't spoil my appetite but it did, poor Jen had to eat on her own.
Let me tell you of my weekend of last. A trip to the German market was made short by the terrible weather, we ended up at Cafe Soya for some lovely nosh.
On Sunday for my sisters 29th we had a lovely meal at Mad O' Rourke's Cow Pie Factory. I had Faggot pie, Jen had the Allotment pie. We ate well
This Saturday Jen and I have a day planned in Ludlow.
Tonight - Fish & Chips.
Tomorrow - a trip to Second to None to find a evening dress for Jen
Sunday - Mad O' Rourkes for my sisters 29th Birthday.
Sunday included Sunday Lunch, ale and bar billiards at the Dog and Bell a great pub in Deptford that I highly recommend.
Sunday was great. Al, Amanda, Jen and myself visited The Anchor for a pint before The Bad Shepherds gig at the Glee Club which was fantastic.
I'd just like like to thank Ian and Sarah for the bed they kindly donated us. It absolutely wonderful to sleep in a bed again.
